Parking meter
This is one of the parking meters downtown, i'm not sure what the blue mess is on the right one. The prices are a pretty reasonable 1¢, 5¢ and 10¢ for full time (not sure if it's an hour or two hours, but i think it's two). Not much else to add about parking meters really.

I have not seen parking meters in ages. I remember when they first came around here. The downtowns were dotted with them and they even hired a parking meter maid to collect the money. Then, new stores opened at the edge of the city and the people went to them. Plenty of free parking. The merchants downtown saw their business decline as did the parking meter maids. In the end, the parking meters came out and the business never has returned. Tough lesson to teach city planners and managers.
My January 13 photo, I posted a similar themed photo, the new parking meters in downtown St Paul. They have upgraded to digital readouts. Plus quarters and dollars only.
Here it is one euro ten centimes an hour. At todays rate that is probably a hundred dollars! I love the name of where you live. Is there a water fall or just a river?
