Lots of snow

This was taken yesterday out my front door, during what one weatherman called "thunder-snow". The camera could see better than i could, the snow was coming down so hard. A bit south of here there were thunderstorms, but here we just got snow with some lighting and thunder behind it. In the short time it snowed so hard, it seemed to drop around six to eight inches here (at least that deep on my legs). Thankfully it's sunny today, and hopefully no more snow.

flower opened

This is the same flower below but now opened. I'm having problems remembering what kind of flower it is though. Very nice to have a hint of spring though in winter.

Ice worms

I just loved the looks of these ice shapes under the icicles in the post below. They just reminded me of worms made out of ice.

Icicles

Just some icicles hanging off my roof the other day when it warmed up enough to met the snow on there, but cold enough to refreeze too. It's colder than that again, but hopefully spring is going to be here soon.

Not spring yet, again

This is one of my indoor plants that has seemed to think it's now spring, which it isn't. It got warm (into the 40s or so) but today is back down into 12F and if you can see behind the flower, there is plenty of snow on the deck. I forget which bulb this was, but it sprouted quickly, it's close to four feet tall or more (this was eye level, plant is on a short stand to prevent the bunnies from eating it).
