Strawberry plant

This is the strawberry plant i'm attempting to start inside. It's actually doing pretty good, or so i think.

Plants and snow

This is just me attempting to have some green, there have been lots of snow storms with more coming in the next couple days. I don't have the best green thumb, but these three are doing great it seems. Sadly outside is still brown and white with snow.

Emily

This is Emily, she also plays with Jerry, but not at the same time as Amanda as those two fight a lot.

Happy Easter Everyone.

Jerry and Amanda

Continuing the bunnies, this is Jerry (the white one) and Amanda (the brown one). Jerry was gotten from the Humane society, who found him outside after someone just let him go. He's the biggest sweetest bunny in the world. Amanda is a bit funny, she's stubborn and likes to be the one who makes the rules.

Kitty and Zack

Since Easter is coming up on Sunday, I'm going to post pictures of my pet rabbits. This is kitty (on the right) and Zack (on the left). All my rabbits are house rabbits, meaning they live in the house and are pretty good about being litter trained. They have separate houses, although these two now have a bigger house they stay in together, where they go when ones are out that they fight with.
Even though bunnies are associated with Easter, they should never be given as gifts. Rabbits are very social animals that thrive when given lots of attention and room to explore. They can also live for 12 years, although health problems usually come up before that, and they can actually be scared to death if they see a predator and feel in fear for their life with no where to hide. Never, ever, ever release a pet rabbit into the wild. I know there are wild ones out there, but domesticated rabbits are so far from the wild ones, with little instinct left on how to survive that their lives are brutal and short. If they get very lucky, a humane society will save them, and then they may end up like Kitty, Zack and Jerry, that's where i got them and what had happened to them. Please also spay and neuter your pets, besides the fact that "breeding like rabbits" isn't a myth, it prevents lots of cancer in female rabbits, and makes male ones less aggressive.

Bird tracks

Here are some of the bird tracks i took when i took the picture of the raccoon tracks. I'm not even going to venture a guess as to what kind of bird left these, hopefully it was a bird though. ;)

Not spring yet

This is what I woke up to yesterday morning, it had been snowing more than a day at that point. Kind of a strange feeling seeing this as it was so spring-like not long before. Thankfully it has turned mostly to slush, spring can't come soon enough for me.

Squirrel tracks

Here is one of sets of tracks I saw on my driveway yesterday morning as it was snowing. They were very well defined with depth that didn't seem to get captured in the photograph. It's been snowing since yesterday morning at least, and there is actually quite a bit of snow on the ground. Kind of disappointing after it almost hitting 50 the other day. Spring is close, but not here yet, i have to keep telling myself.

Odd

I'm not sure if this bird was landing or taking off, but it amused me that it looks like he is standing on nothing. You might have to click thru to see it clearly though.

Car Wash

This is a car wash in town, from the inside, as it's running. It was a beautiful day, near 50, and felt like spring so i got a car wash. I actually got stuck in there for almost half an hour, second time i got stuck in one. The first time some people working on it closed the exit door as i was on my way out, and was stuck in front of a car that was going. This time it seems someone tossed garbage out into the track and the machine got stuck in one mode. At first it seemed normal, but then i was wondering why it was washing the back of my car for so long. I had to back up off of the pad that triggered it, and then go back on it to get it to act normal again. Thankfully it was more amusing than troubling.

Walgreens

This is the Walgreens in town, sadly they didn't have what i went there for, but it was only the second time i have been in there. There used to be a gas station at that location, but not long ago this came, and went up fast it seemed. It was very grey at the time of this photograph, and you can see my car and the patch of ice i almost fell on behind it. It was in the 40s the day before, so i kind of forgot that it could be slippery, or maybe just hoped it was not frozen.

Is he that hungry? ;)

I know he's not eating his leg, but he was really going to town on it. Not sure if it itched or he was just cleaning heavily. It's still cold, with highs only in the 20s, but it looks like later this week will get to around 40F or so, that will be nice. The birds and other wild animals still get seeds from the feeders and what falls, but they seem to be wanting something different too.

Burger King Drive Thru

This is the drive thru of Burger King here in town taken from my car with a fisheye lens. I haven't been feeling too well due to some very rough times a close friend has been going through, and haven't been eating too well, although i'm pretty sure Burger King doesn't really count as "eating well".
